David Davenport is Director, Public and Science Policy, at the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC), where he directs the Coalition’s policy development, government relations, and stakeholder engagement in collaboration with the Senior Vice Presidents for Public Policy and Science Policy. In this capacity, Davenport focuses on policy opportunities to improve coverage, payment and reimbursement for personalized medicine products and services; enhance the quality of patient care; and demonstrate the value of personalized medicine.
Since joining PMC in 2015, Davenport has worked to influence legislative and regulatory policy changes that promote the understanding and adoption of personalized medicine concepts, services, and products to benefit patients and health systems. With a decade of coalition-building and advocacy experience across the diversity of stakeholders in PMC’s membership, Davenport brings significant expertise in cultivating relationships with both stakeholders and policymakers to advance the coalition’s policy strategy and objectives.
Davenport has previously served as PMC’s Manager of Public Policy, Office Administrator, and Secretary to the Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Richmond, where he graduated summa cum laude.
