Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine

Member Type: Research & Educational Institutions

The University of Colorado’s Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine (CCPM) was established in 2014 as a major initiative across the University Health System (UCHealth), and its affiliates: Children’s Hospital of Colorado, Denver Health Medical Center, National Jewish Health, and the Denver Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. The University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus is a premier academic medical institution serving the Rocky Mountain region.

The UCHealth clinical system represents a patient population for which the demographic diversity mirrors, and for some sub-groups exceeds, the diversity of the overall U.S. population. The overarching CCPM mission is to apply personalized medicine research, education, and clinical care across diseases to accelerate the development and application of personally tailored prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The CCPM Biobank collects blood (and other biological samples) from consenting participants under a CLIA-compliant model that will return results to participants, and is a key factor in executing the CCPM mission.
