A Patient-Centered Research Agenda
Moving Beyond Population Averages
Between 2019 and 2020, PMC convened more than 120 patients, patient advocates, caregivers, health care professionals, and academic researchers during four web forums and three virtual roundtable discussions to develop a patient-centered research agenda identifying evidence gaps that must be filled to ensure personalized medicine treatment strategies better align with priority patient outcomes. The final report defines 45 research questions for personalized medicine across nine areas of special concern for patients.
