The PMC invites you to its Fourth Annual Keynote Luncheon Address on the State of Personalized Medicine, with Keynote Speaker Harvey V. Fineberg, M.D., Ph.D., President of the Institute of Medicine.
Dr. Fineberg has devoted most of his academic career to the fields of health policy and medical decision making. His past research has focused on the process of policy development and implementation, assessment of medical technology, evaluation and use of vaccines, and dissemination of medical innovations.
At the IOM, he has chaired and served on a number of panels dealing with health policy issues, ranging from AIDS to new medical technology. He has also demonstrated a commitment to advancing personalized medicine and exploring the role it will play in the future of healthcare.
Previous PMC Keynote Speakers include Dr. Francis Collins, Director, National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health (2005); Dr. Andrew C. von Eschenbach, Commissioner, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (2006); and The Honorable Michael O. Leavitt, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Department of Health and Human Services; (2007).
